Champions Send Off

So yesterday marked the end of an era as we saw the last day and gig at Champions in Bournemouth, the only venue to ever book us more than once. We arrived to the place looking as it had most times I’d been there, pretty empty with a couple of old dudes at the bar but luckily we got pushed back to 5:15 and there were at least some other bands to watch us. We played as a 2 piece for the first time cos drugs, something we’d been putting off doing for a long time and continually searching for a guitarist who will play more than a couple of shows, but it went quite well with Drums, Bass and Vocals and the people who’d seen us before said we should stay as a duo, dunno if we will tho. We hammered through the set, a couple of the older folk left for cigarettes while others looked on nervously- but everyone clapped and played along with our bits and there were none of the key chains we threw out left by the time we got off stage.

Some guy called Steve who did some soundman stuff said we were his favourite band of the day and gave us some of the weed he’d bought for his ex-wife and the bar staff gave us free drinks all day, we got nice and fucked and moshed for Toupé and the amazing Grott Party. Then when everyone had been kicked out and some girl almost got her fanny out before realizing what she was doing, we stayed with the guys who ran the night for hours drinking loads of booze that was left behind the bar and jamming with that Steve guy and Jase [the guitarist for legends The Gonads!] so technically we were the last band to ever play the venue :p While this old dude skilfully slept while still holding his pint.

I threw up after a shot that I’m still unsure of the contents, Brad sparked a spliff inside and got us told off and then I woke up smelling like vinegar. Along the way someone offered us a gig at a ‘Hen and Stag Party Hotel’ this Wednesday in Bournemouth so that could be fun… Thanks Champions, you made us feel like what we are FUCKING ROCK STARS!

Man cave time Part 4ish?

Back in the Mancave again today for our gig on Sunday at Champions, Bournemouth, you should come cos its the last ever show there and only £4. Wolfie is an illusive being and we’re not sure if he’s even coming so Sam might be our axeman again, but today me n B-rad ran our tunes through drum n bass stylee, possible tesco value remix in the works ;) Also maybe a new cover about committing crimes.

26th FEBRUARY BACK IN BOURNEMOUTH

We’re back at Champions for the last time ever on the 26th February! Its the LAST EVER SHOW that Champions is putting on before it is sold and turned into flats n bollocks, so come down and give the venue a bloody good send off! Also it doesnt matter if you get banned from somewhere on its closing night now does it? so come get wild and steal as many pint glasses as you can!
